Many studies have been performed on the effect of diabetes mellitus (DM) on myocardial infarction (MI), but no statistical analysis of MI mortality has been carried out depending on the residence of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes in the Central Federal District (CFD). This article is based on a statistical study of the impact of the incidence of diabetes mellitus on mortality from myocardial infarction. A direct dependence of the indicators on the geographical location on the map of the Central Federal District was revealed. It was also found that this dependence can be analytically explained by up to 55 % of mortality from myocardial infarction. The results of the study are designed to draw the attention of medical professionals to the problem of mortality from MI depending on the incidence of DM.
