FACILITAÇÃO NEUROMUSCULAR PROPRIOCEPTIVA NA REABILITAÇÃO DA PARALISIA FACIAL PERIFÉRICA

Abstract

Introdução: A paralisia facial periférica, popularmente conhecida como Paralisia de Bell, decorre da lesão neuronal do VII par do nervo craniano, causando uma interrupção da informação motora para os músculos da face. Objetivo: O objetivo desse estudo é investigar a Facilitação Neuromuscular Proprioceptiva na reabilitação da paralisia facial, identificando na literatura qual melhor técnica deve ser implementada para o tratamento do indivíduo acometido com a Paralisia Facial Periférica Idiopática de Bell. Métodos: foram selecionadas as seguintes bases de dados: SCIELO (de 1990 até maio de 2021), MEDLINE (de 1990 até maio de 2021), EMBASE (de 1990 até maio de 2021), LILACS (de 1990 até maio de 2021), PEDro (de 1987 até maio de 2021) e PUBMED (de 1990 até maio de 2021). Previmos o término desse projeto para o primeiro semestre de 2022. Resultados/Discussão: A técnica de FNP auxilia de forma significativa para o retorno da funcionalidade ao paciente acometido com a Paralisia Facial Periférica Idiopática de Bell. Esse método aplica princípios fundamentais de estimulação que propicia uma reaprendizagem sensitivo-motora por meio da estimulação dos receptores do sistema nervoso. Conclusão: pode-se constatar que a técnica de FNP é amplamente eficaz. O que se expôs neste estudo mostra a importância da intervenção fisioterapêutica na reabilitação dos pacientes com PFP através da técnica mencionada que vem se destacando atualmente para tratar a doença.
