Makros = long + keros = horn, referring to the somewhat elongate antennae. Material examined: NAMIBIA: 1♂ holotype, ‘ South West Africa [= Namibia] 2516Ac / Maltahöhe Dist.Aandster / Farm, 1000m. 16.II.1974 / ME Irwin, vegetated dune / and grassland’. A. macroceros: The unique holotype was collected in the subtropical plateau climatic region with its warm, dry winters and hot summers with low rainfall.
