In the context in which the Bessarabian individual had to undergo a mutilation and a radical transformation necessary and convenient to the Soviet dictatorial power, the latter does not hesitate to make extensive use of various possibilities to change the alphabet, literature, language itself. Examples of this are identified in Savatie Bastovoi's novel Iepurii nu mor and Iulian Ciocan’s novel Înainte să moară Brejnev. The identified characters are meant to present us differently the attitude towards some realities such as: the pioneer, the political power, the social divergences, the attitude towards the political values, etc. The structure of the novels under study highlights the postmodernist way of presenting the realities of a Soviet childhood which, on the one hand, has similar valences to other types of childhood, but also highlights some distinct concerns.
