2. Stellungnahme des Modellierungsnetzes für schwere Infektionskrankheiten (MONID)

Abstract

In dieser Stellungnahme gibt das Modellierungsnetz für schwere Infektionskrankheiten (MONID) eine kurze Übersicht zur aktuellen epidemiologischen Lage schwerer Atemwegserkrankungen und weist auf drei aktuelle Problem- bzw. Handlungsfelder hin: (1) die angespannte Situation in den Kinderkliniken, (2) die möglichen Effekte der Aufhebung der Isolationspflicht und (3) die möglichen Effekte der Aufhebung der Maskenpflicht im öffentlichen Personenverkehr. Es wird außerdem über Erkenntnisse aus entsprechenden Modellsimulationen bzgl. der Punkte (2) und (3) berichtet. Die Ergebnisse der Modellrechnungen legen nahe, dass die Aufhebung von Isolations- und Maskenpflicht die Krankheitslast sowie die Belastung des Gesundheitssystems durch SARS-CoV-2 gegenüber dem Beibehalten dieser Maßnahmen unter ansonsten gleichbleibenden Rahmenbedingungen erhöhen würde. Diese Ergebnisse sind im Zusammenhang mit der Ausbreitung anderer infektiöser Atemwegserkrankungen, der Gesamtbelastung des Gesundheitssystems durch SARI sowie der angespannten Personalsituation im Gesundheitswesen, insbesondere im pädiatrischen Bereich, zu sehen. Um eine zusätzliche Belastung im aktuellen Winter 2022/2023 zu vermeiden, ist es sinnvoll, die Maßnahmen bis zum Frühling 2023 beizubehalten.
