The V-band light curve of a WUMa contact binary system FZ Ori is taken from the publicly available photometric time series observations of All Sky Automated Survey (ASAS) between 2000 to 2009, in order to estimate various fundamental parameters of the system. The FZ Ori light curve shows a small asymmetry around the primary and secondary maxima, which indicates the presence of cool or hot spots on the primary component. The final spot solution is obtained employing the standard Wilson-Devinney (WD) code in the light curve modelling. The periodogram and the Observed-Calculated (O-C) diagram analysis estimates the period as ~0.3999875 days and a cyclic change in the period with an increment rate of dp/dt = +2.5*10^-8 d yr^-1 respectively. This indicates the possibility of mass transfer between the primary and secondary components with a rate of dm/dt = 1.6 x 10 -7 M_ʘ yr^-1
