</script>During the phytopatalogical monitorings conducted to Absheron tomato plants with characteristic tabomovirus symptoms were observed. Total RNA was isolated from the collected samples and trambovirus infection was confirmed in symptomatic plants by the RT-PCR method using the universal tobamo1 and tobamo 2 primer pairs and by the serological analysis. Moreover, malondialdehyde level, activities and isoenzyme spectra of guaiacol (GPO) and benzidine (BPO) peroxidases were comparatively studied in leaves of healthy and infected plants. It was established that pathogenesis caused an increase in the malondialdehyde level and in the activities of peroxidases, as well as quantitative and qualitative changes in their molecular forms
