This year the scientific community of our country is celebrating the significant date - the centenary of the birth of a doctor, scientist, statesman of Azerbaijan, academician V.Y.Akhundov, whose name was given to the National Research Institute of Medical Prevention of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, by the Decree of Heydar Aliyev, the late President of Azerbaijan (N 353 from 06.20.96).
