Anatomical traits of the species O. purpurea Huds. belonging to the genus Orchis L. are described in the article. The anatomical structure of O.purpurea Huds. has been established for the first time. Our objective was to identify the species of the collected herbarium material and determine the status of the species. A genus with distinctive features was identified when studying the collected herbarium material. Morphological and anatomical studies of stems, leaves and roots confirm that the species Orchis purpurea Huds. belongs to the genus Orchis L
