Das DFG-Fördergeschehen im Kontext der COVID-19-Pandemie

Abstract

Im Bericht werden Daten zur Entwicklung des Antragsaufkommens, des Bearbeitungsprozesses sowie internationaler Kooperationsvorhaben während der Pandemie analysiert. Darüber hinaus bietet der Bericht Übersichten zur Forschungsförderung im Themenkomplex Epidemien, Pandemien und COVID-19 sowie eine inhaltliche Klassifizierung von Förderanträgen dieses Themengebiets. Die Analysen zeigen, dass die Zahl der Antragstellungen während der Pandemie zugenommen hat. Trotz des erhöhten Antragseingangs blieb die Bearbeitungsdauer von Anträgen stabil. Im Bereich internationaler Forschungsvorhaben ging einerseits die Nachfrage nach Förderung mobilitätsorientierter internationaler Vorhaben zurück, andererseits setzte sich der steigende Trend der Zahl eingegangener Anträge in international ausgerichteten Förderverfahren, die keine Reisetätigkeiten implizieren, fort. Der Anteil der Vorhaben mit Beteiligten aus dem Ausland blieb im Pandemiezeitraum insgesamt stabil, wenngleich Verschiebungen bei den Herkunftsländern der internationalen Beteiligten festzustellen waren. Neben diesen Ergebnissen bietet der Bericht weitere detaillierte Betrachtungen des Bearbeitungsprozesses sowie des Antragsgeschehens, beispielsweise hinsichtlich der demografischen Zusammensetzung der Antragstellenden oder des fachspezifischen Antragsaufkommens.
