Abstract

A objeto de reflexionar sobre la importancia de la formación socio-humanista en el profesional de la enfermería, se examinan los aportes de la unidad curricular de Estudio y Comprensión del Hombre, ubicada en el I Semestre del plan de estudio de la carrera de Enfermería. La presente reflexión tiene como base epistemológica la teoría de la complejidad y el enfoque humanista en la formación del estudiante de Ciencias de la Salud. Se analiza su enfoque y sus aportes en el área socio-humanista, como parte de la formación académica de la carrera. Se concluye que su enfoque y contenido es significativo, de acuerdo a las exigencias y necesidades actuales del contexto de desempeño profesional y la filosofía institucional, robusteciendo el perfil profesional del egresado de Enfermería.
