BENEFÍCIOS DA TERAPIA NUTRICIONAL NAS DOENÇAS INFLAMATÓRIAS INTESTINAIS: UMA REVISÃO BIBLIOGRÁFICA

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar por meio da revisão da literatura os benefícios da terapia nutricional nas Doenças Inflamatórias Intestinais. A Doença Inflamatória Intestinal (DII) é uma doença crônica de etiologia multifatorial, que possui duas formas principais de apresentação: a Doença de Crohn (DC) e a Retocolite Ulcerativa Inespecífica (RCUI). As duas apresentam importantes alterações nutricionais, relacionadas, principalmente, à atividade da doença. Porém, em relação à Terapia Nutricional, é necessário que sejam tratadas de forma distinta para que se tenha um melhor resultado no tratamento das patologias. Em relação à via de administração, há que verificar qual é a mais eficaz para cada doença. Alguns pacientes com DC que apresentam a doença em atividade, de modo constante, poderão se beneficiar mais com a TN enteral melhor do que a parenteral. Essas DII são responsáveis por lesões intestinais que podem levar o paciente à desnutrição devido à má absorção de nutrientes; por isso, o cuidado nutricional é tão importante. A nutrição adequada contribui para o melhor prognóstico dos pacientes. O cuidado nutricional é importante nas DII tanto na prevenção como no tratamento da desnutrição, das deficiências específicas de nutrientes. Diante do que foi relatado e, ainda considerando os benefícios da ingestão adequada de nutrientes e sua influência no controle das DII, o proposto trabalho mostra que os portadores de doenças inflamatórias intestinais podem ter benefícios tanto para evitar inflamações como para manter-se com o quadro clínico estável, tendo assim menos chance de recidivas.
