Evaluation der Klinischen Forschungsgruppen

Abstract

Ziel einer Klinischen Forschungsgruppe (KFO) ist die Förderung von Forschungsverbünden in der krankheits- oder patientenorientierten (translationalen) klinischen Forschung. Dazu werden wissenschaftliche Arbeitsgruppen und Strukturen dauerhaft in klinischen Einrichtungen implementiert. Nach fast 15 Jahren Laufzeit seit der Programmreform 2008 hat die DFG das Instrument KFO nun umfassend und mit Unterstützung der externen Agentur inspire research evaluiert, um zu beleuchten, inwiefern das Förderinstrument die genannten Ziele erreicht hat. Die Evaluation stützt sich auf eine Auswertung von DFG-Antrags- und Förderdaten, eine Online-Befragung der Sprecherinnen und Sprecher sowie der Leiterinnen und Leiter der seit 2008 entschiedenen KFO-Einrichtungsanträge und einer Vergleichsgruppe von FOR-Sprecherinnen und Sprechern. Darüber hinaus wurden qualitative Interviews mit Leitungspersonen und Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern an Hochschulmedizinischen Einrichtungen geführt (HME).
