Abstract

No Brasil, por anos se utilizou a alvenaria como material de vedação interna quase que de maneira exclusiva. O mercado está cada vez mais avançado quando o assunto é tecnologia, e na construção civil não é diferente, fazendo com que a inovação e a produtividade sejam uma preocupação das construtoras. A partir disso foi feito um estudo de caso, fazendo o levantamento de dados que ajudam a verificar as inovações trazidas pelo drywall, assim como seu custo em comparação com métodos construtivos convencionais mais consolidados em território nacional. Foram analisadas vantagens e desvantagens do sistema e verificado que ele é de grande valia para a construção civil devido sua simplicidade e versatilidade, podendo inclusive ser utilizado de forma integrada aos demais processos construtivos já amplamente utilizados, demonstrando assim, um acréscimo importante ao portfólio de uma construtora. Gradualmente o drywall vem penetrando no mercado brasileiro, não só pelo alto desempenho e agilidade, mas também pelo seu aspecto de sustentabilidade, o que torna esse produto um grande nicho de mercado que ainda tem muito a ser explorado por comerciantes, construtoras, engenheiros e arquitetos.
