Abstract

La identificación por huella dactilar es una de las biometrías más conocidas y publicitadas. Gracias a su unicidad y constancia en el tiempo las huellas dactilares han sido usadas para la identificación por más de un siglo, más recientemente volviéndose automatizada (ej. biométrica) debido a los avances en las capacidades de computación. La identificación por huellas dactilares es popular por su inherente comodidad de adquisición, las numerosas fuentes disponibles para recolección (diez dedos), y su establecido uso y recolección por parte del orden público e inmigración. La Universidad del Norte, Comunitaria Caacupé, carece de un Sistema de Revisión e Impresión de notas académicas, implementando un Control de acceso Biométrico que permita tener una mayor seguridad a la hora de ingreso al Sistema principal de Notas. Actualmente un Sistema de Revisión e Impresión de notas académicas utilizando Control Biométrico como mecanismo de seguridad, no se ha implementado en ninguna Institución a nivel Cordillera, y sería interesante comenzar a fomentar la utilización de este tipo de Sistemas Informáticos, ya que ofrecerá muchas ventajas a nivel académico; ya que agilizara las consultas de notas por los alumnos. La realización del proyecto, brindó a los autores la oportunidad de conocer nuevas herramientas de desarrollo de Sistemas Informáticos, además de adquirir conocimientos de nuevos mecanismos para utilizarlos como medida de seguridad, a la hora de ofrecer nuevas propuestas tecnológicas a los potenciales usuarios.
