ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) has created and maintains an archive of monthly time series of global observational data. The archive contains both surface and upper-air reports. Initially, a data service will be provided only for upper-air data, but the service will be extended later to include other data types, in particular surface observations (SYNOP). his document describes the data set containing upper-air reports.
