The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) commissioned Research Consulting to develop a case study of genomic viral data sharing during COVID-19. The study follows the open science commitments made under the UK's G7 Presidency, as published in the G7 Research Compact. This report was commissioned to add depth and precision to existing recommendations on data sharing across borders, and related research practice and cultural issues (e.g. legal barriers and required agreements, incentives, and rewards).
