Landscape and tourism are irrevocably linked together and co-constitutive, in a variety of ways. This study explores this reciprocal relationship in light of changing circumstances and parameters, in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and in the context of a series of evolving crises (climate, energy, economic, etc.). The paper engages in a critical discussion/ assessment of the prospects, pitfalls and potential of landscape for future tourism development and vice versa, based on an overview of relevant scientific literature and research findings of the H2020 EU Project SPOT . The paper, thus, aims at unveiling and elaborating on current and emerging trends and patterns that refer to and reinforce the relationship landscape-tourism, through a SWOT analysis.
