PERMANÊNCIA NO ENSINO SUPERIOR PÚBLICO: teoria da Relação com o Saber e Sala de Aula in lócus

Abstract

Esta revisão teórica é o espelhamento de parte da tese de doutorado, ainda em construção. Nela propõe-se compreender o processo de Permanência no Ensino Superior Público, tendo como aporte teórico a “Teoria da Relação com o Saber”, proposta por Bernard Charlot (2000), e como lócus privilegiado de análise, a sala de aula. Metodologicamente, empreendeu-se uma revisão de literatura nas obras de Charlot e Tinto. A partir de tal levantamento bibliográfico, obtivemos como resultado parcial que a permanência dos estudantes na Universidade requer envolvimento dos sujeitos com o curso, a instituição, bem como, demanda o estabelecimento de relações com o saber. De acordo com Charlot, o que interessa a Universidade é que o estudante se aproprie dos conteúdos das disciplinas que compõem a ementa do curso. Para que essa apropriação de conteúdos ocorra, entretanto, essa pesquisa de tese considera imprescindível que levemos em conta outras dimensões do sujeito. O próprio Charlot nomeia essas dimensões que envolvem o cognitivo, o afetivo e o social de “figuras do aprender”. Nesse sentido, na lógica Charlotiana, aprender e permanecer em uma instituição de Ensino Superior requer apropriação de conceitos, mas, também, o domínio de atividades e relações. Essas “figuras do aprender” fazem emergir categorias de análise como as relações com os “saberes socioacadêmicos” e as “comunidades socioacadêmicas espontâneas”.
