The IUPAC Compendium of Chemical Terminology (the "Gold Book") (https://goldbook.iupac.org) is the online resource for access to the official definitions of chemical concepts published in IUPAC Recommendations (in Pure and Applied Chemistry). The current resource includes almost 7,000 terms spanning the chemical sciences and several thousand more defined concepts are in the pipeline. Every term is referable by a DOI and programmatically accessible through an API. This presentation will discuss ongoing developments to the metadata and API service to enhance the Gold Book as a FAIR-enabling resource and facilitate ontological reuse of terms.
