Travestilidades e Violência: Perspectivas Queer

Abstract

O presente estudo tem como intuito responder ao chamado de uma vitimologia queer, oferecendo instrumentos teóricos dos estudos feministas e queer para a compreensão das condições de vitimação de vidas travestis no Brasil. Nossa metodologia tem como base o aporte teórico e metodológico da teoria do discurso desenvolvida por Judith Butler e Michel Foucault. Nosso argumento principal se baseia na ideia de que a vida e a humanidade são produzidas por molduras epistemológicas saturadas de poder, tendo o gênero um papel fundamental na produção do ideal de humanidade compartilhado pelas pessoas. Nesse sentido, a experiência travesti, como prática desestabilizadora da coerência e continuidade entre o sexo, o gênero e o desejo, pode ser classificada como vida precária e desapropriada, estando mais vulnerável à violência física e letal.
