A comparison of active Scopus-indexed journals reveals that 92% of them are also indexed in Open Scholarly Data Infrastructures. According to data from Scimago Journal Rank, those journals found in both Scopus and Open Data Infrastructures account for 97% of total number of articles in 2021, 98% of references in the same year and 99% of all Scopus citations in the last three years. The findings indicate that, in at least in terms of coverage, open data infrastructures have grown to match commercial bibliometric databases. Further work is needed to establish if this is the case also in terms of breadth and accuracy metadata.
