Abstract

1. B. terrestris (Linnaeus, 1758) Flugzeiten: alte ♀♀ 11. 3. — 10. 8., junge ♀♀ 20. 7. — 3. 10., ♀♀ 29. 5. — 3. 10., ♂ ♂ 20. 6. — 15. 10. — Bevorzugte Blüten: Rosa rugosa. — In ganz Deutschland häufig. Nach Alfken (Ahrensch) und A. C. W. Wagner (1914: 35, 1937: 135 Fundorte) offenbar bereits damals in Cuxhaven heimisch und weit verbreitet; 1959—6 und 1968—69 die häufig­ ste (25,9 °/o) aller Arten. Er wurde in allen Fanggebieten angetroffen, vor­ nehmlich aber in den bebauten Gebieten, sowohl in der Marsch als auch auf der Geest. In den unbebauten Geestgebieten I und II ist er selten. Von 1959—6 und 1968—69 konnten von insgesamt 1886 Individuen nur 16 von dort verzeichnet werden; Nester wurden hier auch nicht gefunden. Demnach dürfte Alfkens (1938) Bezeichnung „Kulturfolger“ auch für Cux­ haven zutreffen. — Nester meistens unterirdisch und im allgemeinen sehr individuenreich (Postner 1951). 1969 wurden im Untersuchungsgebiet 5 Ne­ ster mit 84, 157, 158, 173 und 264 Individuen in Erdlöchern und unterirdi­ schen Mauerhöhlen entdeckt. — Schmarotzer: Ps. vestalis. — Die Variabilität ist im Raume Cuxhaven nur gering. Nur die Weibchen neigen vereinzelt in der Marsch und in dem moorigen Fanggebiet X zur Verdunklung der gelben Prothoraxbinde. Auf der Geest wurde diese melanotische Form bisher noch nicht beobachtet.
