Dissemination and Exploitation Plan, including Communication activities

Abstract

This document describes the Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication plan (DEC) for CRM-geothermal and provides guidelines for both internal and external communication. The overall aim of this document is to define communication and dissemination objectives, target audiences, core messages, and key performance indicators to ensure consistency of the outreach activities and maximise impact during and after the project’s funding period. The external communication plan (communication and dissemination) will use a synergetic combination of several channels and tools: a project web site linked with existing high traffic social media channels; regular press releases, webinars and other external event opportunities; online social networking and publications in a range of media outlets and papers including peer-reviewed and non-specialist publications. The overview of the planned communication and dissemination activities provides a concise description of actions designed to mobilise key stakeholders, informing them about the project objectives and expected results. The plan also serves as a basis to define the main groups of stakeholders and their respective needs in a stakeholder matrix. The exploitation plan details the measures which will be taken to facilitate the uptake of the project’s results after the end of the funding period. The internal communication plan defines responsibilities among project partners and describes communication channels and monitoring instruments. According to the Description of the Action (DoA) of CRM-geothermal, the content and the corresponding implementation will be monitored, updated and adapted to changing conditions during the project lifetime, and hence it will operate as a live evolving document. After its initial submission in October 2022, the document has been updated in April 2024. This corresponds to the start of the second stage of the communication and dissemination strategy as first results start to become available. Another update is foreseen for project month 36.
