THE PLATFORM FİLMİNİN ESKATOLOJİK METAFORLAR VE İLAHİ KOMEDYA'NIN CEHENNEM TASVİRİ BÖLÜMÜ BAĞLAMINDA DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

The Platform film is considered as a film that willmake in-depth analyzes in many contexts such as social classifications, sociological evaluations, unequal resource distribution, class formations ofsocieties, liberal and capitalist economic models, and so on. Moreover, it ispossible to read the film, which is shaped by such critical approaches and canbe read in this context, in a sense parallel to or completely opposite to itssub-texts, since it is broadcast on a digital cinema platform, which is anelement of capitalism. In this direction, after literature review in the study, discourse analysis will be made and the film will be analyzed by looking at the"Hell" section of Dante's The DivineComedy, the representation of the seven deadly sins of Christianity and the conceptof the redeemer Messiah in the film. It will be looked at how the film, whichwas shot hundreds of years after these works, came into being in today'scinema.
