Este trabalho discorre sobre aspectos de avaliação e intervenção ligados à consciência fonológica, à leitura e à escrita em pessoas com Síndrome de Down. A partir de análises quanti e qualitativas, destacamos a importância de uma abordagem multidisciplinar e holística em todo trabalho que busque tanto avaliar, quanto estimular habilidades, uma vez que todo ser humano, bem como o próprio processo de aprendizagem constituem-se como fenômenos complexos.
