Rapid growth and methodological divides hinder the study of how scientific knowledge accumulates and consolidates. Our work proposes using Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia, as a historiographical source regarding contemporary science. For that end, we developed an automated tool which generates corpuses on any search term of interest. The automated creation of corpuses is followed by a number of subsequent data collections that together form our suggested method and allow for cross field comparisons. https://github.com/RonaTheBrave/WikiCorpusBuilder Table S1. The CRISPR corpus. The output of the automated tool for the term "CRISPR", as of 2022-06-27. Table S2. CRISPR sections. The "CRISPR" article's table of content was examined at the indicated dates. The number of sections/subsections were counted and appear at the top of each column. Table S3. Patents section. The "CRISPR" article's "Patent" section is displayed as were online for the indicated dates. Table S4. The circadian corpus. The output of the automated tool for the term "circadian", as of 2022-07-14. Table S5. The coronavirus corpus. The output of the automated tool for the term "coronavirus", as of 2022-07-14.
