3.2.21 Baenothrips ryukyuensis Okajima (Figs 12, 56, 90) Baenothrips ryukyuensis Okajima, 1994: 517; Okajima, 2006: 197. Specimens examined. Fujian, 1 female from unknown grass, 21 April 1991, Yun-Fa Han (NZMC). Distribution. China (Fujian, Taiwan), Japan. Remarks. One female on unknown grass from Fujian, China was identified as B. murphyi by Yun-Fa Han. It is rechecked here. According to the original description, it should be B. ryukyuensis without wing-retaining setae on abdominal tergites rather than with one pair on B. murphyi indicated by Wang and Tong (2007).
