La electrocardiografía (ECG) es la representación gráfica de la actividad eléctrica del corazón que se transmite a través de las células y que se mide desde la superficie del cuerpo a través de electrodos específicos de registro. El objetivo es identificar las características normales de los elementos de un electrocardiograma (ondas, segmentos e intervalos); identificar y analizar de forma sistematizada los elementos y características que componen un trazo de electrocardiograma normal, revisando todos los componentes (ritmo, frecuencia, eje, ondas, segmentos e intervalos).
