Abstract

Durante la pandemia de COVID-19, los países implementaron medidas de distanciamiento social como estrategia para reducir la tasa de contagios. En el campo educativo destaca la migración de clases presenciales a las clases virtuales, lo cual trajo consigo dificultades y retos para los docentes, así como una serie de exigencias, incrementando de esta manera la posibilidad de que padezcan del Síndrome de Burnout. Por ello, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar el Síndrome de Burnout en docentes peruanos de educación básica regular en tiempos de la pandemia de COVID-19. El enfoque de investigación fue cuantitativo, el diseño no experimental y el tipo de diseño descriptivo transeccional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 209 docentes a quienes se les aplicó el Inventario de Burnout de Maslach, instrumento con adecuados niveles de confiabilidad y validez. De acuerdo con los resultados, los docentes se caracterizaron por presentar un nivel alto de Síndrome de Burnout y cansancio emocional y un nivel moderado de despersonalización y realización profesional. Asimismo, se halló que algunas variables sociodemográficas como el sexo, la edad y la condición laboral se asocian significativamente al Síndrome de Burnout. Finalmente, se concluyó que las instancias descentralizadas del Ministerio de Educación deben identificar y brindar un continuo soporte socioemocional a los docentes que lo requieran para promover su bienestar y mejorar la condición laboral en la cual se desenvuelven. Así también, las instituciones educativas deben desarrollar programas de intervención con la presencia de psicólogos para disminuir la prevalencia del Síndrome de Burnout y la afectación que pudiera ocasionar.
