According to James (1967: 99, 1973a: 26.57), the illustrations of head and scutellum, of a female specimen given in Lindner (1949a: 890, figs 39–40) were erroneously attributed to Eupachygaster punctifera Malloch, 1916, currently a species of Gowdeyana Curran, 1928, and should be referred to G. vitrisetosus.
