Os riscos do uso de medicações para o emagrecimento

Abstract

Objetivo deste tudo foi avaliar o os riscos de se utilizar medicamentos no processo de emagrecimento. Essa pesquisa tem o intuito de mostrar a importância da utilização de medicações corretas, receitadas por médicos de forma controlada, no processo de emagrecimento, encorajando o paciente a usa métodos não farmacológicos para se obter sucesso na perda de peso. Metodologia: Foi realizado um estudo de revisão de literatura, com a utilização das normas ABNT, por meio das bases de dados, SCIELO (Scientific Eletronic Library On-line), MEDLINE, LILACS, Google Acadêmico, Bireme, Ebsco Host, Pubmed, livros e artigos publicados entre os anos 2011 a 2021 em português, inglês e espanhol, foram incluídos os artigos que obedeceram aos seguintes critérios: (1) estudos que tenham como foco no uso de medicamentos para o emagrecimento e seus riscos (2) estudos que estejam disponíveis em texto completo. Foram excluídos da busca bibliográfica os artigos incompletos e não disponíveis. Conclusão: O uso indiscriminado de medicamentos para emagrecer pode causar efeitos adversos, como ansiedade, problemas cardíacos, confusão, insônia, alterações de humor e comportamento violento. Além desses transtornos, existem transtornos psiquiátricos, incluindo delírios, alucinações visuais e auditivas e delírios.
