La investigación analiza el estrés laboral del docente universitario como limitante pedagógico. Considera la condición multifactorial del padecimiento, las causas que provocan su cronicidad, donde destaca la persistencia temporal de la angustia. Reflexiona sobre las acciones sociales a seguir para disminuir los impactos, al validar el diálogo como confluencia de la dimensión humana racional y sensitiva. Se insiste en conformar sociedades democráticas al disponer las mediaciones capaces de contener las dolencias psicosomáticas. Se realiza una indagación bibliográfica de relevantes publicaciones arbitradas en Latinoamérica durante los últimos cinco años.
