Preregistration is the practice of publishing the plan for a study before the data have been collected or examined. In this workshop, we introduced the practice of preregistration, showed how to preregister a study on the Open Science Framework (OSF), and discussed researcher degrees of freedom. How can you make sure your preregistration is unambiguous? What to do when reality does not turn out exactly the way you preregistered?
