Aprender a Aprender: Teoría del aprendizaje asociada al dominio de competencias digitales en estudiantes universitarios

Abstract

Aprender a Aprender es una postura teórica vinculada a las teorías constructivistas del aprendizaje; ha adquirido fuerza al ser aplicada en diversos contextos educativos, donde los educadores reconocen e interiorizan la importancia del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, como medio para desarrollar las competencias y capacidades que conduzcan al educando al pensamiento crítico, autónomo y flexible, además de otras destrezas requeridas para el ejercicio profesional. Dicha postura se ve íntimamente ligada a aspectos epistemológicos, metodológicos, procedimentales, actitudinales y al desarrollo de competencias digitales. En virtud de lo anterior, el artículo tiene por objetivo analizar la relación existente entre los elementos conceptuales del Aprender a Aprender con la formación de competencias digitales. Para lograr dicha finalidad, el estudio utilizó un grupo de cuatrocientos treinta y dos estudiantes (432), aplicando un diseño asociativo-predictivo, sirviéndose de los cuestionarios para hacer medición de variables; el cuestionario de evaluación de la competencia Aprender a Aprender y el cuestionario de la Competencia Digital del Alumnado de Educación Superior (CDAES). Una vez analizado los datos, se encontró que la asociación entre estas variables es baja (r = ,226) y las dimensiones que mejor predicen las competencias digitales son el factor cognitivo y metacognitivo. Se concluye que, para desarrollar las competencias digitales de manera adecuada, se requiere promover las estrategias cognitivas y metacognitivas como parte del desarrollo de la competencia Aprender a Aprender de los estudiantes.
