DISPLASIA COXOFEMORAL EM CÃES E GATOS

Abstract

A displasia coxofemoral pode ser diagnosticada através de exame radiográfico e exames ortopédicos, sendo está uma doença articular degenerativa que não pode ser revertida. A displasia coxofemoral (DCF) é uma condição na qual a articulação coxofemoral cresce de forma anormal, geralmente causada por genes, e pode ser gerenciada e influenciada pelo ambiente. Cães grandes geralmente têm displasia coxofemoral de forma mais comumente, porém pode acometê-los até mesmo antes de um ano de idade. Com isso, o presente estudo vida abordar a displasia coxofemoral mais especificamente em cães e gatos, abordando a etiologia, patogenia, alguns sinais clínicos, prevenção e tratamento, assim, será feita uma abordagem bibliográfica.
