Abstract

O Diabetes mellitus (DM) é uma doença metabólica que ocorre pela ausência ou diminuição de insulina o que impacta o desempenho das funções do organismo caracterizado pela hiperglicemia. Existem dois tipos: o tipo I que acontece pela destruição das células que produzem insulina e o tipo II considerado mais comum e que ocorre quando há defeito na produção de insulina ou dificuldades para ação no organismo, com isso podem surgir várias complicações sendo o Pé Diabético o mais comum. Neste contexto, este estudo tem como objetivo verificar as principais ações de autocuidado adotadas por pacientes diabéticos, tendo em vista os fatores de riscos associados ao surgimento de lesões. Para isso, realizou-se uma pesquisa quantitativa com aplicação de um questionário estruturado a pacientes diabéticos da UESF – Cafezópolis de Recife/PE, a fim de obter informações sobre a problemática proposta, a qual se configura como um importante problema de Saúde Pública à medida que sua incidência e prevalência na população brasileira vem aumentando ao longo dos anos, sabendo que de acordo com a Resolução 466/2012 do CNS toda pesquisa envolvendo seres humanos pode causar riscos e/ou desconfortos. Neste contexto, esta pesquisa oferece riscos mínimos aos participantes que responderam voluntariamente as questões relacionadas a temática estudada. Os dados serão coletados de modo individual, a partir do questionário onde será utilizado o software Excel e estes resultados serão apresentados em forma de tabelas.
