Abstract

Tendo o uso dos tijolos de solo sido comum ao longo da história, de em simples moradia até grandes construções, e após preterimento no pós Revolução Industrial, eles vêm sendo retomados atualmente em meio à urgência ambiental para construções. Para se obter tijolos de melhor qualidade, são necessárias as chamadas estabilizações no solo, como física, através de areia, a química, através de cimento Portland, formando até este ponto o compósito de solo-cimento, e a mecânica, através de fibras. Este artigo trata da estabilização conjunta com areia, cimento Portland e fibras vegetais de juta e de malva, cujos cultivos são de grande importância para a economia do interior do Amazonas, e dos resultados dos ensaios de absorção e compressão axial realizados conforme a NBR 8492/2013 e avaliados com sucesso conforme a NBR 8491/2012.
