Tersilochus (Tersilochus) liopleuris (Thomson, 1889) Material examined. JAPAN. Hokkaido I.: 1 ♀ (EUM) Kamikawa Distr., Kurodake-Sounkyo, 24.VII.1956, coll. M. Miyatake. Variation. Female from Japan virtually lacks foveate groove; mesopleuron just with a slightly stronger granulation indicating path of the foveate groove. Distribution. Europe, Russian Far East; in Japan known from Hokkaido I. First record from Japan. Biology. Reared from unknown larva in mine on Betula pendula Roth (= verrucosa Ehrh.) in France (Aubert 1997: 108).
