Goniophysetis actalellus (Viette, 1960) Leucinocrambus actalellus Viette, 1960: 152. Imago (fig. 9): Description translated from original. Wingspan 17 mm. Antennae yellowish white, covered dorsally with pure white scales. Maxillary palpus and labial palpus white, the latter with a black spot at the base. Head, patagia, tegulae and thorax white. Abdomen whitish with the median segments yellowish grey, slightly olive tinged. Underside of body and legs pure white, with two black spots on the inner side of the metathoracic femur and the apex of spurs black. Forewing white, with a subbasal fascia lightly shaded yellowish grey, antemedian fascia white in the middle of two transverse zones yellowish grey, and all the distal area yellowish grey except white at the apex and tornus. Lunule mark discernible in pure white. Postmedian line only marked by a sinuous reddish brown line to the level of the disc and by a reddish brown patch between Cu 1 and the anal vein. Terminal area yellowish grey scattered with black scales which are more dense at the termen, the last, with two black dots. Fringe white, with yellowish grey beneath the apex and entirely yellowish grey at the level of this colour. Hindwing with base white, This is followed by a large median zone of the same colour as the median segments of the abdomen with a straight white marginal band and finally a straight white marginal band with yellowish brown spots. In the median zone, one can distinguish two strongly marked transverse bands. At the most distant, at the level of Cu 1b, there is a tuft of erect black-tipped scales. Fringe white with a yellowish grey submedian line. Male genitalia: not known. Female genitalia: not examined. Diagnosis: Differs from G. malgasellus in its smaller size, less sinuate termen and dark colouration on both forewing and hindwing. Life history: not known. Distribution: Madagascar. Type material: Holotype ♀ Madagascar South, Tulear district, St Augustin iii.1956 A. Robinson (MNHNP).
