Mahatma Jyotirao Phule founded the Satyashodak Samaj on 27 November 1873 for the liberation of the Bahujan and Dalit communities who were oppressed for many years in religious and social slavery. This is the first movement in modern Maharashtra to declare faith in human equality. If social equality is to be established by striking the supremacy and supremacy of upper castes, then the four-caste system, birth-based caste system, religious traditions and undesirable customs should be destroyed. Phuli expressed that Satyashodak Samaj was a movement. No movement can overwhelm the power of one person, that's why along with Jyotirao Phule, Swami Ramayya Ayyavaru, Krishnarao Bhalekar, Narayan Meghaji Lokhande.
