This chapter explores the multiple characters of women portrayed in “Kambaramayanam” by the famous Tamil poet Kambar. Kambaramayanam is also called “Ramavatharam”. Most of the female Roles in “Kambaramayanam” are potrayed with admirable good characters. Female roles like Kosalai, Kaikeyi, Sumethirai, Savarimadha, Tharai, Thirisadai are potrayed with the character of motherhood. Some of the characters which are shown in “Kambaramayanam” are known for anger and evilness. In this chapter, let us see the multiple characters of women that are seen in “Kambaramayanam”.
