Ciências na escola - um novo olhar sobre o ensino da evolução biológica: reflexões e propostas

Abstract

A presença destacada da temática Evolução nos novos documentos norteadores da prática pedagógica, tanto em Unidades Temáticas quanto em competências específicas, salienta como ela é importante em um contexto educativo que visa uma formação humana e cidadã. Entretanto, por se tratarem de documentos recentes, aliado ainda aos transtornos causados pelo período dos dois anos iniciais da pandemia de COVID-19, que compreendeu a interrupção das atividades escolares presenciais e, quando possível, a retomada em um formato remoto, ainda não foi possível verificar se essas novas normativas ocasionaram modificações na prática docente. Cabe acompanhar se, a partir desses documentos, e, consequentemente, com a readequação dos livros e outros materiais didáticos, teremos alguma mudança de cenário. É justamente nessa lacuna que esta obra se enquadra, pois (I) ao oferecer reflexões e propostas orientadas pelas perspectivas curriculares mais atuais da Educação em Ciências, (II) apresentar uma abordagem que desconstrói algumas das narrativas hegemônicas e excludentes sobre o tema, (III) considerar as demandas da Educação do Campo, (IV) incluir o uso das tecnologias educacionais e (V) ao sugerir a realização de uma aula gamificada, possibilita um olhar idiossincrático sobre o processo evolutivo que não se encontra em outros recursos didáticos.
