Sistema integral de gestión para la industria y el comercio

Abstract

Para generar políticas públicas sobre el sector de industria y comercio en Venezuela es sumamente importante conocer a fondo este sector. Una forma dinámica de recabar los datos que nos permitan conocer las métricas más importantes de la producción y comercialización en el país es creando un registro donde todas las empresas del sector suministren anualmente estos datos. SIGESIC es un Sistema Integral de Gestión para la Industria y el Comercio, cuyo objetivo es recopilar y generar diversas vistas de la información relacionada con el sector industrial y comercial en Venezuela. SIGESIC conforma un subsistema del proyecto Mapa Industrial de Venezuela que pretende generar herramientas que permitan recabar y analizar información relativa al sector industrial del país, esta aplicación representa un gran repositorio de datos que luego pueden ser analizados y presentados con otras herramientas para tomar las mejores decisiones para las políticas públicas. La implementación de este registro utilizó la metodología de desarrollo de software libre desarrollada por CENDITEL para garantizar la ejecución del proyecto bajo estándares y herramientas libres, así como también tecnología para implementar colas de tareas distribuidas, balance de carga entre servidores de aplicaciones y procesamiento de archivos por lotes. Desde Marzo de 2012 se colocó el SIGESIC a disposición de todos los ciudadanos acompañado por una Resolución en la G.O. No 39.887, desde entonces todas las unidades económicas en el país cuentan con un registro en la Web donde almacenan la información de su producción, administrativa, maquinarias entre otras que se solicitan en SIGESIC.
