Abstract

In so mancher Küche mit Sitzecke vergeht einem der Appetit – zu steril, zu deutsch-gemütlich oder einfach ein wenig zu farbstark. In der Architekturmoderne wurde der Ort des Zubereitens und Verzehrens zur stilistischen Spielwiese, aber in seltenen Glücksfällen auch zum Herz und Glanzpunkt eines Gebäudes. Ob Einbauküche, Kantine oder Eisdiele – in jedem Fall spiegeln diese Räume des Ernährens und Genießens unser sich wandelndes Bild von Arbeit und Freizeit, von Beziehung und Familie. Diesen besonderen Orten widmet mR nun ein eigenes Themenheft (Redaktion: Karin Berkemann). Mit von der Partie sind der Gastrokritiker Jürgen Dollase, der Ostmodernist Mark Escherich, die Hajek-Expertin Chris Gerbing, der Denkmalschützer Stefan Timpe, der Küchenfachmann Christos Vittoratos und einige Time-Life-Kochbücher. Und am Ende jedes Beitrags wartet ein Rezept zum Nachkochen auf Sie! Die Rechte für die einzelnen Textbeiträge liegen bei den Autor:innen, die Bildrechte sind jeweils am Bild selbst angegeben.
