Abstract

Schrift und Architektur sind eng verwandt: In beiden Fällen geht es um das Verhältnis von Volumen und Leerräumen, so fasst es Agnès Laube in ihrem Leitartikel zusammen. Doch wenn ein Schriftzug auf einer Fassade auftaucht, kommt es zum Konflikt: Der Blick wandert zuerst zur Textzeile, denn sie transportiert Inhalte linear und effizient. Der Bau erschließt sich erst langsam und in Bewegung. Vor diesem Hintergrund widmet sich das Herbstheft 2019 „Zeichen und Wunder“ (Redaktion: V. Pfeiffer-Kloss) dem subtilen Wechselspiel von Architektur und Schrift in der Moderne. Mit dabei sind Sven Heinrichs, Tobias Köhler, Agnès Laube, Martin Maleschka, Roland Meyer, Frank Oehring, Verena Pfeiffer-Kloss, Felix Richter und Christian Steubing. Die Rechte für die einzelnen Textbeiträge liegen bei den Autor:innen, die Bildrechte sind jeweils am Bild selbst angegeben. Die einzelnen Heftbeiträge sind (in der jeweils aktuellen Form) online zugänglich.
