Abstract

Indian cinema has completed its hundred years crossing the boundaries of religion, love, caste, language and countries. Indian cinema, which started its journey riding a bullock cart, is now riding a jet plane. Its inclusive nature shows that it has absorbed all the art forms of the country. Songs, dances, gimmicks, leela, drama, magic, madariyon ke khel. Sculpture, painting, literature, all the arts have been connected by Indian cinema with the love-deh-rag-virag-congharsh of this vast country.
