Valoración sociofamiliar en el adulto mayor

Abstract

Pregunta de investigación: ¿cuáles son los aspectos sociales a considerar para evaluar integralmente a los adultos mayores? **Objetivos:** 1) determinar los aspectos sociales principales para la evaluación integral de ancianos; 2) evaluar la situación familiar, las condiciones de vivienda y económicas; 3) identificar las relaciones sociales, determinando el apoyo que tienen de la red social. Material y método: Es un estudio observacional, descriptivo, de corte transversal-prospectivo. En la población de la USF Republicano 1 de Asunción, desde el 1 de febrero al 30 de abril del 2019. En este periodo, 94 personas cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Se aplicó la Escala de Gijón mediante entrevista directa. Resultados y conclusión: Vivienda: el 6% cuenta con buena/aceptable situación social; en el 34% existe riesgo social; y en el 60% existe problema social. Relaciones sociales: el 48% se relaciona con la comunidad; el 19% se relaciona sólo con la familia/vecinos; el 13% se relaciona sólo con la familia; el 16% no sale del domicilio, pero recibe visitas ; y el 4% no sale del domicilio ni recibe visitas. Apoyo de redes sociales: el 5% no necesita apoyo; el 13% requiere apoyo familiar/vecinal; el 18% tiene seguro, pero necesita un mayor apoyo; el 59% no cuenta con seguro social; el 5% está en situación de abandono familiar. Situación económica según cantidad de salarios mínimos percibidos mensualmente: el 4% recibe más de 2 salarios mínimos; el 4% recibe 1-2 salarios mínimos; el 9% recibe 1 salario mínimo; el 40% recibe un ingreso irregular o inferior a 1 salario mínimo; y el 43% no poseen ingresos. En conclusión, existe una gran franja poblacional que presenta riesgo/problema social, siendo vulnerables y dependientes de la red de apoyo social, reconociéndose aquí una problemática de salud pública.
