Abstract

Open OnDemand (OOD) is a zero install platform for access and use of high-performance computing clusters. OOD, by itself, improves accessibility and use of highly complex compute clusters by providing a more traditional access via the web browser. Adding XDMoD, metrics on demand, allows for users to improve their utilization of the available compute by seeing how the compute is used by their submitted jobs. Further, compute centers are able to get reports on the use of the clusters to inform purchases and departments on use.
