In this poster, we present Morpho, an open-source programmable environment for finite element modeling of shape, including shape optimization and shape shifting. We showcase example applications for a number of diverse systems like liquid crystal tactoids, swelling hydrogels and wetting on curved surfaces. We highlight our advances in the optimization algorithms under the hood as well as in the incorporation of GPU acceleration. Lastly, we summarize our code-base improvements, outreach efforts including the first Morpho workshop, and the adoption of Morpho by independent scientific researchers.
